A Different Perspective
If you take a look at any pregame show during the NBA Playoffs, studio analysts are always talking about a player or two watch in a particular game. That player generally has an interesting storyline and the potential to affect the game’s outcome. Apply that philosophy to the NBA Draft, and one of the “players” to watch is certainly Warriors Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Bob Myers.
Not only will Myers be involved in the decision of who the Warriors will select with the 11th pick, but he will be doing so just a year after he tried convincing NBA GMs to draft his clients. An agent right up until he joined the Warriors last month, Myers provides a perspective that is quite unique. He has a thorough knowledge of how the game works as an agent, a rare quality for a member of an NBA team’s front office.
