Warriors.com Blog: Looking Forward To Some Game Action
Warriors.com will provide constant blog updates with its wide-ranging coverage throughout the year. With news updates, photo galleries, videos and more, warriors.com will continue to offer the most complete coverage of the team on the Web.
After eight long months, Warriors basketball is returning to Oracle Arena. As broadcaster Jim Barnett said during todays live webcast on Training Camp Central, the Warriors are just 48 hours away from their first preseason game and their only exhibition game at home. The Warriors host the Sacramento Kings on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and for those who were unable to attend Mondays Open Practice, this will provide the first look at Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry in action. And the same can be said for rookies Klay Thompson and Jeremy Tyler, as well as newcomers Kwame Brownand Dominic McGuire.
Tickets are still available for the Northern California showdown and fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy in support of the 2011 Oakland Mayors Community Toy Drive. The first 400 fans to donate a toy upon entering Oracle Arena will receive a voucher that gains them entrance to an exclusive postgame Chalk Talk with select Warriors players immediately following the game. Drop-off locations for the toys include the East Plaza, East Main, North Main and F-Lot entrances. For more information on the Holiday Toy Drive, click here.
And if youre not able to make the game, be sure to catch us on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area or NBA TV. Comcast will carry both Warriors-Kings preseason games, the teams play again on Tuesday in Sacramento, and fans can tune in from anywhere in Northern California. And if youre a Warriors fan watching from afar, you can catch Saturdays action on NBA TV. In addition, you can hear Tim Roye call the action of both Warriors-Kings preseason games on KNBR 1050.
Speaking of Roye, the veteran Warriors broadcaster will host the season premiere of Warriors Roundtable tonight at 9 p.m. on KNBR 680. Stephen Curry, Thompson and SI.coms Sam Amick are scheduled to be on the radio show tonight, so be sure to tune in.
The Warriors have one more day of Training Camp before opening their 2011 preseason. Get a look at today's practice in the photo gallery below:
As you can see in the gallery, NBA TV's Ahmad Rashad was at Warriors practice today. He was there to do a feature on the Warriors that will premiere on "One on One with Ahmad Rashad" (NBA TV) next Friday (December 23) at 4:30 p.m. While he was here, our very own R.C. Davis caught up with the iconic sportscaster and football great. Listen below:

Thats all for now, but well be back soon with more coverage of Warriors Training Camp. In the meantime, go out and buy a new toy for a youth in need and be sure to bring it to the game on Saturday. See you there.
