Reggie Williams' College Jersey To Be Retired On Saturday
Reggie Williams will have his college jersey retired at VMI on Saturday.
Reggie Williams made a name for himself in NBA circles over the final month and a half of the 2009-10 season, but the Warriors swingman has long been a source of pride for fans of Virginia Military Institute (VMI) athletics. Before Williams was a NBA Development League success story, he was a standout at VMI who led the nation in scoring during his junior and senior seasons.
The all-time leading scorer in VMI, Big South Conference and Virginia State Division I history with 2,556 points, Williams will have his No. 55 jersey retired on Saturday in a ceremony held at halftime of VMI’s football opener against Lock Haven.
