Stephen Curry

What can you say about a man who is single-handedly redefining how the game is played? Stephen Curry hasn’t just backed up his MVP award from a season ago – he’s obliterated NBA records on his way to cementing his status as the most exciting player in the league today. With the handle to get to any spot on the floor, and the shooting ability to splash a trey at any moment, there isn’t a player in the NBA more deserving of a spot in the All-Star Game.

Klay Thompson

If there’s anyone that can challenge Curry at being the best shooter on the planet, it very well could be his fellow Splash Brother and backcourt companion, Klay Thompson. In terms of 3-pointers made on the season, only Curry has more than Thompson, who recently made 10 threes in a single game for the second time in his career. He can shoot and defend with the very best of them. Oh, and he owns the all-time NBA record for most points in a quarter. Send him to Toronto.

Draymond Green

As the heartbeat of the Warriors, there might not be another player in the entire league more essential to his team than Draymond Green is to Golden State. For a guy who is supposedly undersized for his position, you wouldn’t know it by his stats. He’s the only player in the NBA to rank in the top 30 in rebounds, assists, blocks and plus-minus per game, and he’s on pace to become the first player in NBA history not named Larry Bird to average at least 13 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one block and one 3-pointer per game for a full season.

Harrison Barnes

On track for career-bests in field goal percentage, points, assists, and 3-pointers made per game, there are very few players in the NBA that have shown the kind of improvement Harrison Barnes has this season. With the increased pace and demand for shooting in the modern game, Barnes is the prototypical wing player, capable of stretching the floor while also being able to defend larger players in the post. The Black Falcon has also been known to throw down some thunderous dunks when the situation calls for it, too (hint, hint…the All-Star Game).

Andrew Bogut

His stats might not jump off the page, but it’s no coincidence that the Warriors have ranked as one of the best offensive and defensive teams in the NBA the last couple years, and Andrew Bogut’s been a huge reason why. Among players averaging at least 18 minutes per game, only three hold opponents to a lower field goal percentage within six feet of the basket than Bogut does. And, of the top 15 shotblockers in the NBA in terms of blocks per game, only Tim Duncan and Pau Gasol average more assists than the Warriors’ big Aussie.

Festus Ezeli

As amazing as the Warriors have been so far this season, it’s easy to overlook the fact that they boast, perhaps, the best center tandem in the entire league, thanks to the emergence of Festus Ezeli. The fourth-year player is completely healthy for the first time in years, and it’s showing on the court. With averages of more than eight points, six rebounds and one block in fewer than 20 minutes per game, Ezeli has provided immense and consistent production whenever he’s been on the court.

Andre Iguodala

It was going to be difficult for Andre Iguodala to top his NBA Finals MVP performance from last June, but so far, he’s at least come close. A career 33.3 percent three-point shooter entering the season, Iguodala has converted over 44 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc this season, and is on pace for by far the best shooting percentage of his decorated 12-year career. Defense, dimes, dunks and more, Iguodala is the kind of player the All-Star Game was meant for.
