A lawyer by trade, Darren Erman has taken a unique career step as a basketball coach. He has spent the last four seasons as a coaching assistant with the Boston Celtics, where he performed scouting duties and worked extensively with players on individual skill development. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Erman began his coaching career as a student coach at Emory University, where he graduated in 1997. Erman also spent two seasons (2003-2005) as an assistant coach for national prep powerhouse St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, New Jersey, and two seasons (2005-2007) as an assistant coach at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, before being hired by the Celtics. Now a Warriors assistant coach for player development, Erman discusses his new position with broadcaster Bob Fitzgerald.
