Mandatory rehearsal dates for finalists:
DAY 1: Tuesday, July 27 from 8:00-10:30 PM
DAY 2: Thursday, July 29 from 8:00-10:30 PM

*Interviews and photo shoot will begin at 8:00 PM. All remaining finalists will perform the routine that was learned on July 24 when the interviews are completed.

Auditions:
Please fill out the online application by clicking here. You will need to bring a head shot to the initial tryout on July 24. If you do not have a professional headshot, a personal photo will be sufficient. In addition, please bring a dance résumé to the initial tryout as well. A dance résumé should consist of previous and or present dance experience. Any workshops, classes, teams, conventions or skills pertaining to cheerleading or dance should be included on your dance résumé. Please list any professional team that you have been a member of or affiliated with, including the director’s name.

The Warrior Girls auditions are closed to the public. Also, score sheets will not be made available to those auditioning.

Attire:
Please wear a form fitting half dance or sport top and boy shorts of briefs. Wear shoes that you will feel comfortable dancing in, such as dance sneakers, jazz shoes or athletic-type shoes. All shoes should have non-marking soles. Knee pads are strongly recommended, and full hair and make-up are encouraged. Additionally, tattoos and piercings are acceptable.

Eligibility:
In order to audition you must be 18 years of age by October 1, 2010. NO EXCEPTIONS.

The Golden State Warriors are looking for Warrior Girls with the “total package.” We are looking for technically trained dancers with a strong emphasis on Hip Hop. We are also looking for positive, talented, energetic, dancers with great personalities.

Expectations of a Warrior Girl:
If you are selected as a Warrior Girl for the 2010-11 season you will be expected to attend ALL practices, games and mandatory Golden State Warriors events. Warrior Girl duties include community service events, scheduled appearances, photo shoots and mandatory Warriors events.

Practices will be every Monday and Wednesday evening (time to be determined), as well as Saturday afternoons from 12:00-3:00 PM. Extra practices will be added for games, choreography clinics, special performances and Playoffs.

Preparation:
Dance workshop classes will be offered by the Warriors prior to tryouts. The cost is $20 per class. We highly encourage those auditioning to enroll in at least one preparation class. In the preparation classes you will learn choreography that has been performed by the Warrior Girls during the 2009-10 season.
