MISSION STATEMENT The Golden State Warriors Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a significant and lasting impact on the lives of underserved Bay Area youth through education, sports and fitness. The Foundation will live its mission through grant programs, innovative partnerships with Bay Area nonprofit organizations, the support of corporate partners and generous individuals throughout the community.
Warriors owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber have been dedicated to continuing Golden State’s longstanding tradition of positive community involvement since purchasing the club in 2010. The Warriors have developed numerous outreach programs and have contributed financial and in-kind assistance to thousands of nonprofit organizations. The Golden State Warriors Community Foundation, established in 2011, in conjunction with the new Lacob and Guber ownership group, was created to strategically expand the team’s impact in the community.
