Warriors’ legend Alvin Attles and assistant coach Keith Smart were in attendance to take part in the Grand Opening ceremonies, as were representatives from Kelly-Moore Paints and the Alameda County District Attorney’s office.

“Our organization is thrilled to unveil this Warriors Corner as a safe place where local children can go to relax and learn, while being a part of the NBA experience,” said Warriors President Robert Rowell.

The Warriors Corner features a new book collection and framed autographed portraits of Warriors players donated by the team, as well as NBA branded toys and bean bags. Also included is a brand new mural made possible by donations from Kelly-Moore Paints.

“Kelly-Moore Paints is proud to join the Golden State Warriors in opening another Warriors Corner, providing a colorful safe haven for the children of this community,” said Mark Zielinski, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Kelly-Moore Paints.

The unveiling is part of the Warriors’ involvement in the league-wide NBA CARES initiative. Through NBA CARES, the league, its players and teams will raise and contribute $100 million for charity, donate more than 1 million hours of hands-on volunteer service to communities worldwide, and build more than 100 places where kids can learn and play over the next five years.
