Warriors and The Clorox Company Team Up on Latest Gold Alliance Partnership
Partnership Includes Marketing and Community Service Opportunities
The Golden State Warriors announced today that The Clorox Company has joined the team as the latest Gold Alliance partner for the 2012-13 season.
“This partnership is a great fit for our organization, and we are pleased to add another Bay Area-based organization to our line-up of Gold Alliance partners,” said team President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. “We are always looking to align ourselves with the best organizations in the Bay Area and are excited to work hand-in-hand with The Clorox Company to activate marketing and community initiatives around a variety of their brands throughout the season.”
The partnership covers sales and marketing elements related to the 2012-13 season, including retail, radio, print, social media, online and in-arena messaging that will highlight the company’s various brands. Additionally, the Warriors and Clorox will partner on community-focused events.
Already this past off-season, the team and Clorox held a Clean Up the Classroom event at Garfield Elementary School in Oakland. Warriors guard Stephen Curry and assistant coaches Darren Erman and Kris Weems talked with students about doing their best in school and working hard to reach their goals. Clorox donated Clorox® disinfecting wipes to each classroom and shared ideas on how teachers and students could help their classes be healthier this school year.
“The Warriors and Clorox are two Oakland staples, and it’s great to bring our brands together,” said Grant LaMontagne, Clorox senior vice president – chief customer officer. “We’re looking forward to being part of a fun Warriors season and partnering with them to provide programs that support our Oakland community.”
Clorox joins current Gold Alliance partners Kaiser Permanente and Jawbone, alongside arena naming rights partner Oracle.
