DAY ONE:

Camp was just as fun as last year. Last year it was really fun because you had a lot of encouragement. Coaches are really nice. The other campers are really nice too. I've had campers come up to me and ask me if I wanted to have lunch with them. It was good because a friend of mine was going to attend camp with me, but she couldn't come. So I was able to meet some new people.

We did a lot of stuff today like practicing free-throws, five-on-five full-court play, lots of warm-ups, and one-on-one. We worked on our defense at some of the stations too. It was a lot of hard work. Nate Thurmond speaking to us

We then sat and heard special guest Nate Thurmond speak. He was so nice. He said the most important thing is to work hard in the classroom, but working hard in basketball is good too. I hope to work hard to improve my free throws and my offense. We finished the day with five-on-five. I love playing five-on-five. It has to be one of my favorites because we just get to have fun and play!

DAY TWO:

Today we played NBA 2-Ball. (What is NBA 2-Ball?) It's another one of my favorite things to do at camp. It definitely helps me with my shooting. We also did a good free-throw drill which is really helping me. I'm learning my routine. It's one of my favorite things and I'm getting much better. My first day, I only made 1 out of 10 and today I made 3 out of 6!

All the other campers are really nice. Yesterday I met Amanda from San Jose. She's a little younger than me. And today she asked me to have lunch. We talked about the camp and our school leagues. I invited her to come to my house and swim in my pool at home.

DAY THREE:

Today we played a lot of five-on-five. Our team did really well. We won and I scored two baskets. I'm really looking forward to the five-on-five playoffs. I think our team will do really well.

After our games, Troy Murphy came to camp. He talked to us about the NBA and basketball. He was funny. Troy let me take a picture with him and I couldn't believe how tall he is.

Here's Troy and I!

DAY FOUR:

Today was our last day of camp. The Championships were held today like the one-on-one (I did ok) and five-on-five. My team, the Spurs, won that!

Thunder and Nitro camp at the end of camp to put on a dunk show. We were able to watch them dunk up close! It was a really cool show. They did some amazing dunks. I can't wait to see them next year.

Awards and prizes were given out, and I won the Most Improved award and got a Troy Murphy jersey. I got his autograph too! (I guess the free throw drills helped!) I'm coming back next year for sure. I rate it a 10! I really want to thank the coaches, especially my coaches Chris and Ryan.
