Warriors players Jason Richardson, Adonal Foyle and Luis Flores and team legend Alvin Attles were on hand to help launch the motion picture “Coach Carter” at its Bay Area premiere on Tuesday, January 11 at the Century 16 Hilltop Theatres (3200 Klose Way) in Richmond, CA.

At this Hollywood-style event, the players will be posed for photos and interviews on the red carpet before attending an exclusive screening of the film. View Photos

Inspired by a true-life story, “Coach Carter” is an inspirational account of a controversial high school basketball coach, who received both high praise and staunch criticism when he made national news in 1999 for benching his entire undefeated basketball team for poor academic performance. The real-life Coach Ken Carter (portrayed in the film by Samuel L. Jackson) will also be in attendance at the premiere, as will members of his 1999 Richmond High School team that the movie is based on.
