WARRIORS BASKETBALL CAMP STAFF


JEFF ADDIEGO, Director of Youth Basketball

Now in his thirteenth year with the Golden State Warriors, Jeff has been directing Warriors Basketball Camp since its inception in 2000. Under the direction of Otis Smith (now President of Basketball Operations for the Orlando Magic), Jeff assisted in the development and formation of Warriors Basketball Camp and the Junior Warriors Basketball League. Since the inception of both programs, more than 140,000 youth for all over the world have participated.

In addition to directing hundreds of sessions of Warriors Basketball Camp, Jeff also served as the director of the first ever Run TMC Fantasy Camp (featuring Chris Mullin, Mitch Richmond and Tim Hardaway) in 2004. Jeff and his staff are also responsible for conducting clinics, Warriors For A Day and community basketball events for many of the Warriors corporate partners.

Addiego played college basketball at San Francisco State, where he was a three-year starter and co-captain for the Gators. While at SFSU, he received his bachelor's degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies. His youth coaching experience includes a wide variety of levels including high school, CYO, YMCA and more.

TONY MELENDEZ, Youth Basketball Coordinator

A fifth-year member of the Warriors youth basketball department, Tony brings a wealth of experience as it relates to youth basketball. Prior to joining the Warriors, Tony served five years as the youth sports coordinator for the City of Hercules, where he was a league director for the Junior Warriors Basketball League. He first joined the Warriors Basketball Camp staff in 2001 as a lead coach/counselor. Melendez has been coaching youth basketball for the past 14 years, most recently as the head coach of the JV Boys team at Head-Royce School in Oakland.

Ben Clarfield, Youth Basketball Assistant

In his second year as a full time member of the Warriors youth basketball department, Ben served the previous two years as youth basketball intern. Ben joined the Warriors after completing his degree in Sociology with a minor in Sports Management at UC Santa Barbara in 2007. While attending Santa Barbara, he assisted with recruiting and was the team manager for two seasons.
