If you are a Warriors fan, there is plenty to look forward to. On the dawn of a new season, a Warriors fan can look forward to the team building on the success from last season. A Warriors fan can look forward to Stephen Curry’s continuing progression toward superstardom, to Andre Iguodala bringing the team to the next level and to a roster rich in talent and chemistry. So much to look forward to indeed, not least of which is this Friday’s Tweedia Day.

As you may or may not know, Tweedia Day is the social media branch of Media Day that brings the fans and players together via social media. This will be the fourth annual installment of Tweedia Day, and this year promises to give fans more access than ever before. While Media Day will still include the traditional photo shoots, recording of promotional materials and team-wide media availability, all of which are accessible only to credentialed media, Tweedia Day will bring fans to the event via Twitter, Facebook, Vine, Instagram and more. Best of all, we’ll stream more than two hours of it live right here on warriors.com beginning at 1 p.m. Check out this video for a behind-the-scenes look at last year’s Media Day.

So what’s in store for Tweedia Day this year? Check out some of our plans below ...

  • Twitter – Have a question you’d like to ask a Warriors player? Tweet it along with the hashtag #TweediaDay and we’ll be sure to ask it during our live webcast. Be sure to watch as well, as you just might get a shoutout during the webcast.

  • Facebook – Submit a question for our #TweediaDay Q&A and get an answer directly from a player. As has been the case in recent years, players will rotate through our social media hub and interact directly with fans.

  • Instagram – Have a trick shot, dribbling skills or another challenge you’d like to issue to a Warriors player? Show us on Instagram video, be sure to use hashtag #TweediaDay, and we’ll have some players answer your challenge.

  • Vine – We have a few tricks up our sleeve for this one, so stay tuned! In the meantime, feel free to use #TweediaDay to ask questions that we’ll have the players answer via our Vine account.

In addition to the highlights listed above, we’ll also live stream interviews with multiple players and host multiple contests during that live webcast, so be sure to tune in. The more you watch, the better your chances of winning cool prizes like Warriors gear, autographed memorabilia and game tickets.

Speaking of contests, we’re currently hosting one on Instagram in which the winner will be able to come to Tweedia Day. Check out this video from Andrew Bogut and be sure to submit your entry by 5 p.m. on Wednesday to be eligible to win.

If you think the fun will end at the conclusion of Tweedia Day, think again. We’ll provide live daily coverage of training camp, including live look-ins at team practices and interviews with your favorite players.

Again, we’re here to serve you, the best fans in the NBA. If there’s anything you want to ask a player or Head Coach Mark Jackson, tweet it, post it on Facebook, Vine and/or Instagram … However you pose the question, just make sure to tag it with the hashtag #TweediaDay and we’ll do our best to get an answer for you. Even if you’re not socially inclined, you can still participate in Tweedia Day by simply watching Friday’s live webcast or submitting your question in the comments below.

The beginning of the 2013-14 will soon be upon us, and it all starts with Tweedia Day.
