Much has been made of the Warriors being a close-knit group during the 2012-13 season, and that high level of team chemistry certainly did not fall off once time expired on this year's playoff run. If anything, the team is closer than it was before, as evidenced by the fact that just about every core Warriors player has made it out to Las Vegas over the last week to lend their support to the younger players on the Warriors’ Summer League squad.

“Any chance you have to get together and build that camaraderie and the chemistry … I’m looking right now and there is like 20 Warriors guys all in a circle, just talking,” Stephen Curry said on Tuesday. “It’s good to see and we’ll all be on the same page once the season starts.”

Joining Curry in Las Vegas has been David Lee, Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes and Marreese Speights, not to mention General Manager Bob Myers, Head Coach Mark Jackson and others. That group has seen Draymond Green and Kent Bazemore lead the summer squad to a 3-0 record thus far and the No. 1 seed in the inaugural NBA Summer League Tournament. And besides visiting with each other, some of the players have taken to the broadcast table to speak with the guys from NBA TV. Watch those interviews below.

Klay Thompson will be in Las Vegas next week for the USA Basketball Mini-Camp, which will also feature Barnes. That leaves only Andrew Bogut (out of the country) and Festus Ezeli (recovering from right knee surgery) as the only Warriors not to make it to Vegas this summer, but they’ve been doing their own team building exercises via Twitter.

How many wins this team chemistry is worth once the season starts is debatable, but it has already made a difference. Iguodala chose to go the Warriors in part because of how together this team was last season, and his addition, complete with his unselfish play and team-first attitude, will certainly fit right in.

The Warriors became known for their energetic bench celebrations during the regular season, (thank you Bazemore!), and the fact that the vets have returned the favor and shown up to Las Vegas this summer only shows that the closeness and togetherness that this team experienced will continue into 2013-14 and probably beyond.
