As we inch closer and closer to the start of the 2012-13 season – the countdown to Opening Night is down to 26 days as of this typing – we’re starting to find out more and more about the current Warriors. Our broadcasting team has been regular attendees at training camp, and they break down the team position by position in the videos below.
As mentioned in a previous entry, the expectations for this year’s squad are higher than they’ve been for quite some time. In fact, Chris Webber called the Warriors his "under the radar team that can make some noise" – watch the fifth video in the playlist above for confirmation on that. Whether or not the Warriors live up to the hype and be a playoff team, we’ll soon find out.
The team tips off its preseason schedule on Sunday in Fresno, Calif., where they’ll take on the Lakers. The game will not be televised in the Bay Area but fans can tune in to KNBR 1050 to hear Tim Roye call the action alongside Jim Barnett. After Sunday’s contest, the Warriors will come back home to host the Jazz on Monday at 7:30 p.m. We’ve given some tickets away for that contest via our social media channels, and there are still a few freebies remaining if you like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.
