If you follow @StephenCurry30 on Twitter, you’re probably well aware of these three things:
- He’s a family man
- He loves his hometown of Charlotte, N.C.
- He’s constantly connecting with his fans
All three of those facets of Stephen Curry were on display earlier this week in Charlotte as the Warriors took on the Bobcats, and Warriors reporter Laurence Scott captured it all in the video below:
Curry’s return to Charlotte was one of several Warriors homecomings on this season-long seven-game road trip. From Draymond Green being back in Michigan to Mark Jackson returning home to Brooklyn, this road trip has brought some familiar surroundings to about half of the team’s players and coaches. While distractions can be easy to come by when a player or coach returns home – additional ticket requests, social obligations, etc. – this Warriors squad hasn’t let it affect their performance on the court. Curry’s line of 27 points, seven rebounds and seven assists on Monday and the team’s 4-0 record on the trip thus far would make it hard to argue otherwise.
One more homecoming is in store for the Warriors, and that will be this Tuesday when the team returns to Oracle Arena to host the New Orleans Hornets. It will be the first home game for the Warriors in 15 days, and fans will surely welcome them home after what is turning out to be the most successful road trip in years.
