Executive Vice President, Sales & Partnership Development
Ben Shapiro is in his 11th season with the Golden State Warriors, and his second season as
executive vice president of sales and partnership development. In his current role, he is
responsible for overseeing all aspects of the teamís sales and services in the areas of ticket
sales, suite sales and corporate sponsorships and development.
Last season, Golden State averaged 18,693 fans per game, which was the second highest
total in franchise history and ranked 10th in the NBA. It also marked the sixth consecutive
season in which the team averaged over 18,000 fans per game, the longest such streak in
franchise history. Overall, since Shapiro has presided over ticket sales, the Warriors have posted their five highest
single-season attendance averages in team history. During Shapiroís first season overseeing corporate sponsorships
(2010-11), revenue increased by over 25%.
Shapiro originally joined the Warriors organization in the summer of 2000 as a ticket sales account executive. He
also held positions as the assistant director of ticket sales, director of suite sales, and vice president of ticket &
premium sales prior to being promoted to his current position before the 2010-11 campaign.
A native of Mendocino County, Shapiro graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelorís Degree in
Business Administration before earning his Masters in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco.
Shapiro, who played Division I tennis while at Sacramento State, currently resides with his wife, Sarah, and their
daughter, Abby, in the Oakland Hills.
