NEW YORK, Sept. 3, 2002 --- NBA Inside Stuff, the youth-oriented weekly magazine show of the National Basketball Association, is heading into its 13th season on network television, with its debut on ABC on Saturday, September 7th, at 12:30 p.m. ET (11:30 a.m. PT). The weekly half-hour show, produced by NBA Entertainment and hosted by Executive Producer Ahmad Rashad and co-host Summer Sanders, will be part of ABC's Saturday morning programming line-up newly branded "ABC Kids", and is one of the longest running shows of its kind on network television.

Along with the move to ABC, NBA Inside Stuff will debut a fresh new look, revealing a new fun-filled set. While the show will continue to give fans the "inside scoop" on the off-the-court lives of NBA and WNBA players, it will also introduce many new recurring features, including: "Back in the Day," which highlights players talking about lessons they learned while growing up; "Fit Facts," a weekly fitness tutorial; and "Skillz," a basketball skills feature with various NBA and WNBA players. The show will also unveil new graphics, new music, and a new animation component as part of the refreshed look.

"We are excited about Inside Stuff 's move to ABC and look forward to continuing to provide the best behind-the-scenes stories of the NBA to fans on Saturday mornings," said Rashad. "The show has been extremely successful over the past 12 years, and the best is yet to come."

"ABC Kids is delighted to welcome NBA Inside Stuff to our new Saturday morning ABC Kids lineup," said Jonathan Barzilay, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ABC Kids and Toon Disney. "ABC's connection with kids makes it the ideal home for NBA Inside Stuff."

The premiere of Inside Stuff on ABC is the first NBA programming on the network as part of the new television agreement between the league and The Walt Disney Company signed earlier this year. ABC will be the exclusive over-the-air network for NBA basketball, and, in addition to NBA Inside Stuff, will televise up to 15 regular season games, beginning with a Christmas Day doubleheader featuring rematches of last year's Conference Finals, NBA Playoff games and the NBA Finals in primetime.

NBA Inside Stuff will continue to give viewers a unique perspective of the game with Rashad’s signature segment, “Rewind,” a lighthearted review of the week's happenings in the NBA, and the trendsetting "Jam Session," which matches the week's most spectacular plays to the hottest music on the charts.

The show also airs on ESPN on Tuesdays at 1:00PM/ET, with re-airs on ESPN2 on Wednesdays at Noon. The season tip-off episode on ESPN will be Tuesday, September 10th.
