NEW YORK, Nov. 14 -- Executive Producer and host Ahmad Rashad and co-host Summer Sanders take this week’s NBA Inside Stuff to New York City's Sports Club/LA on Saturday, November 17th. This week’s episode discusses the importance of physical fitness and nutrition and takes a look at the various ways NBA players stay in tip-top shape.

This week’s Inside Stuff will include the following segments:

  • Inside Stuff goes around the league and checks out how NBA players stay in peak physical shape. Among the players featured are Phoenix Suns guard Dan Majerle and Sacramento Kings forward Lawrence Funderburke, who share their full “stay fit” routines, from eating healthy to lifting weights. Majerle, who earned a B.A. in Physical Education from Central Michigan in 1988, has maintained his peak physical condition since entering the league in the 1988-89 season.

  • The 2001 overall number one draft pick, Washington Wizards forward Kwame Brown, reveals the key to his on-court preparation: yoga. Inside Stuff sits in on one of Kwame’s yoga sessions with his trainer, showing viewers how physical fitness requires attention to both body and mind.

  • Denver Nuggets guard Avery Johnson walks Inside Stuff through his daily weightlifting regimen. A true gym fanatic, Johnson works out five hours a day in the off season, claiming that no day is complete without “bicycling”.

Fans are encouraged to be a part of Inside Stuff by e-mailing questions they would like to ask NBA or WNBA players to Ahmad as part of the “Ask Ahmad” promotion. Fans can e-mail AskAhmad@nba.com their question for the players and those that are chosen will be answered on future Inside Stuff episodes.
