Wolves Announce Summer League Roster

Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced the team’s Samsung NBA Summer League 2015 roster. Minnesota will open its three-game preliminary round schedule on July 10 against the L.A. Lakers at the Thomas & Mack Center.

This year’s Summer League squad consists of 2015 draft picks Karl-Anthony Towns (1st overall) and Tyus Jones (24th overall), as well as last year’s Sprite Slam Dunk champion Zach LaVine. Lorenzo Brown and Adreian Payne will also play with the team in Las Vegas. Assistant coach Ryan Saunders will handle head coaching responsibilities for the team’s summer league entry. In addition to the full summer league roster (listed below), Gorgui Dieng, Shabazz Muhammad and Andrew Wiggins will practice with the team in Minnesota during the team’s Summer League mini-camp, but will not play in Las Vegas.

The 24-team field at Samsung NBA Summer League 2015 is composed of 14 playoff teams from the 2014-15 NBA season, nine teams with lottery picks in NBA Draft 2015 presented by State Farm and an NBA Development League Select Team. Teams will compete in three preliminary round games from July 10-14 before being seeded in a tournament that starts on July 15 and concludes with the Championship Game on July 20. Each team is guaranteed to play at least five games.

NBA TV will televise all 67 games at the annual showcase of future NBA stars, culminating with the Samsung NBA Summer League Championship Game at 8 p.m. CT on Monday, July 20 at the Thomas & Mack Center. Also, fans again will be able to watch games live on NBA.com and via the NBA Game Time App.
