The Wolves made it three-straight wins on Tuesday night with their win over the Suns in Phoenix.
You should be excited about that, sure. But there are two things you should be more excited about.
The first is that Andrew Wiggins hit the game-winning pullup jumper at the buzzer to give the Wolves the 112-111 win. That was Minnesota’s first buzzer-beating win since 2012 when Luke Ridnour did it, so after five years, that’s a big deal for Wolves fans.
The second is that this is Minnesota’s sixth win in its last eight games. Don’t look now, but it appears as if the Wolves are hitting their groove.
It also completed a three-game season sweep over the Suns.
Wiggins led the Wolves with 31 points, including the two that decided the game. Karl-Anthony Towns added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Gorgui Dieng nearly had a double-double as well, finishing with 16 points and nine rebounds. Shabazz Muhammad was clutch off the bench, scoring 16. Ricky Rubio was back after missing Sunday’s game and did Ricky Rubio things, dishing out 10 assists to go with 14 points. And Zach LaVine added 11 points, shooting 5-for-9 from the field.
The Wolves move to 17-28 overall, 2.5 games back of the No. 8 seed in the West.

We could give it to someone else not named Andrew Wiggins but that would be a lie and I don’t want to lie to you.
Wiggins finished with a game-high 31 points (including that very important two-pointer you just saw) to go with six rebounds, three assists and two steals. He was efficient, too, shooting 11-for-22 from the field, 2-for-4 from the 3-point line and 7-for-8 from the free-throw line.
To those who say Wiggins isn’t clutch, well, the third-year wing had 14 of his 31 points in the final quarter, so that seems kind of clutch.
