The MN Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation is pleased support education and literacy by encouraging students and their families to spend their spare time reading. Over the past five seasons students in the Twin Cities have read almost 7 million pages through the Read to Achieve Starting Five program*.

Teachers will be provided with a turnkey Starting Five Instructors Kit. Upon registration, all participating students will receive an individual reading card to record numbers of pages read over a two-month time frame.

Every child who reads 500 pages or more will receive a Timberwolves Starting Five prize package. It will include a bookmark, sticker, poster, complimentary ticket voucher to a select Timberwolves game and an exclusive Starting Five gift.
* If a school has a reading program in place, the complimentary ticket can be used to reward students who meet their program’s criteria. However, the students are not eligible to receive the rest of the Timberwolves prize package.

Grade Point Average** is a very important statistic in the game of life. Hitting a three-point shot in the NBA is not easy and neither is earning a 3.0 in school. As a result, the Minnesota Timberwolves want to reward students for their hard work!

The Timberwolves will provide the 3.0 Club certificates to each school in the state. Teachers, counselors, principals and honor society coordinators can utilize them as an incentive for students.

Each student that meets the 3.0 requirement will receive a complimentary voucher to select Timberwolves games. In addition, students will receive the same recognition in June for a Minnesota Lynx game!

** These vouchers may be used for students who do not meet the GPA criteria but deserve to be rewarded for other achievements (I.e. good behavior, perfect attendance, etc.).

Business Club Day 2013: Video | More Information | Online Registration

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx are launching the Business Club program to help cultivate our future business leaders. Club students will participate in an interactive seminar with the Timberwolves and Lynx senior management team to learn about career paths including Ticket Sales, Corporate Sponsorships, Marketing, Public Relations, Community Relations, Target Center Operations, Basketball Operations and Fan Relations.

The Timberwolves will provide teachers with a turnkey Instructor’s Kit. Participating students will attend a half-day seminar at Target Center. In the following weeks, students may apply what they learn at the seminar into a project that asks each student/class to plan a Timberwolves theme night. All projects will be turned in to the Timberwolves for critique. (Participating in the student/class project is optional.)

Each student and advisor will receive an official Business Club member card and a Timberwolves game ticket. Additionally, the best project will be used as the theme for a future Timberwolves game and the winning school will receive in-game recognition.

The Minnesota Timberwolves would like to recognize and thank our teachers for their time and hard work! Check back for more details and game dates!
