Three Questions With Corey Brewer

KR: The offseason is pretty much over now. What did you work on to improve your game during your time off?

CB: I worked on getting stronger. I did a lot of weight stuff, but also my jump shot. I didn’t shoot it as well as I wanted to last year and I feel like this year I need to knock down more open shots.

KR: What was the offseason like for you? You were just kind of sitting back and observing a crazy summer  and then the trade goes down. What was it like being on the roster not knowing what direction the team was going to go?

CB: Very interesting. I didn’t know if I was going to be here or if I was going to be out of here. I’m  happy to be here because I want to be here. That’s why I came back to Minnesota and hopefully I’m here for a long time. It was an interesting summer for me not knowing.

KR: The team brought in Andrew (Wiggins), Zach (LaVine) and Anthony (Bennett), some of those young guys. What’s it going to be like being around such a young and talented group? Are you excited to be a mentor?

CB: I think it’s going to be good. Just for me, I’ve been in the league for eight years now and I feel like I know a little bit – enough to help those guys out. I’ve been working out with the guys the last few days. They’re a good group of guys. I've been working out with Andrew, Zach and Glenn Robinson III. They’ve been with me and they are good kids. It’s gonna be good.
