Wolves Release 2011-12 Schedule


Minneapolis/St. Paul – The Minnesota Timberwolves will tip off their 23rd regular season in the NBA by hosting the Atlanta Hawks at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at Target Center. This marks the 11th consecutive season the Wolves will open their regular season schedule at home, and the 14th time in 23 seasons overall.

The Timberwolves' home schedule is highlighted by the lone appearance of the season for Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat on Tuesday, March 13, as well as the Boston Celtics' one trip to the Twin Cities on Friday, March 30. Other notable games on the home schedule include two visits by both the Los Angeles Lakers (Jan. 29 and Feb. 19) and NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks (Dec. 23, Feb. 3).

Lower-level season ticket packages for the 2011-12 season start at just $15 per game. The Timberwolves are also offering new half-season plans for the upcoming season, which include featured marquee teams from the Eastern Conference and at least one game against each Western Conference opponent. Minnesota is scheduled to appear on national television four times this season, highlighted by an appearance on ESPN2 against the Houston Rockets on Friday, Nov. 25 at Target Center. The Wolves will also appear on NBA TV in road games at Phoenix (Dec. 21), Boston (Jan. 25) and Portland (March 3).

Minnesota’s 2011-12 local television broadcast schedule will be released at a later date, as will the 2011 preseason schedule and the date single-game home tickets will go on sale.
