Wolves Dancers Visit China | 2013
May 21, 2013
The Timberwolves Dancers took a 12-day trip to China this offseason and performed at the 2013 Dongfeng Auto Shows taking place in Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Xiaoshan. Here is our first pic in Shanghai at our hotel – The Fairmont Peace Hotel Shanghai.
Our first day of work at the Shanghai Auto Show. We were there representing Dongfeng Motors (traditionally included as one of the “big 3” Chinese automakers).
At the Yu Garden/Shanghai China. The Yu Garden is an excellent model of classical Chinese gardening architecture under state preservation.
Of course we had to visit a Chinese tea house. Here we are waiting for our tea server with our tour guide Shawn (he was the best). “Stick together like sticky rice."
Camille (far right) entered herself in a Dance Challenge at the Metropolitan Mall in Shanghai. How perfect!!!
Posing after one of our performances with the newest Dongfeng Motors car – H30 Cross. We loved the color!!! Reminds us of the summer.
Taking in some art at the Shanghai Museum. The building has a round top and a square base, symbolizing the ancient Chinese perception of the world as "round sky, square earth."
Waiting on the side of the stage for our turn to perform.
Snapping a quick pic outside of the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This is where the auto show took place. It’s huge inside!
Just got off the metro (underground train), riding up the longest escalator, and heading to the famous Era show. It’s supposedly like Cirque Du Soleil. They say “Miss It And You Miss Shanghai."
All dressed up for dinner in Hangzhou, China. We are about 2 hours outside of Shanghai at our new hotel – JW Marriott Hangzhou.
Shades on, lip gloss is poppin, heading to the opening of a new Dongfeng Motors dealership in Xiaoshan, China.
Behind The Scenes with some traditional Chinese Dragon Dancers.
Dancing on carpet outside of the new dealership in the hot sun. We make it look easy!
The Dongfeng Motors dealership welcoming us with a personal sign.
Meeting and greeting our fans, as well as, signing posters.
Local fans catching us for a quick pic before heading on to the bus.
At the Shanghai Jade Budda Temple. Alisa is presenting her offering as she attempts to toss a coin into one of the openings of the Bronze Incense Burner. Not as easy as it looks.
Shannon posing at one of the many entrances into the Jade Budda Temple’s main courtyard and Grand Hall.
