The NBA season is finally upon us, and that too means it is time for us to get ready for the weekly grind of setting line-ups, adding and dropping players, and fielding trade offers from others in the league looking to get a leg up on the competition. The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced that the team has waived forward Mike Harris and center Chris Johnson. The Wolves roster now stands at 15 players.
Harris appeared in five preseason games, totaling six points, seven rebounds, one assist and four steals in 30 minutes.
In three preseason contests with Minnesota, Johnson registered six points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 15 minutes.
The Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation, along with players J.J. Barea and Dante Cunningham, will dedicate a newly renovated basketball court at Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis (818 Fulton St. SE 55414) on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
Minnesota Timberwolves forward Derrick Williams and center Greg Stiemsma will serve customers at the Arby's restaurant in St. Louis Park (1690 Park Place Blvd.) on Monday, Oct. 29 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from that hour will benefit both the Arby's Foundation in support of Share our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign and the Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation.
