The Timberwolves continue to celebrate 25 years by reminiscing with their fans back through the inaugural 1989 season.

The blast from the past continued Monday evening at Target Center when the organization brought in Young MC to perform his famous “Bust A Move” hit.

“I absolutely loved his performance. I’ve enjoyed the throwback vibe in halftime acts this year, as I’m turning 25 just like the Wolves,” Shane Koob of Inver Grove Heights said of the night.

The Grammy-winning artist rapped at center court while surrounded by the Timberwolves dancers and one special little girl who showed everybody in the crowd how to get down and indeed bust a move.

Fans reminisced about times past and sang along while dancing along with her. Some were shocked when they found out who exactly the halftime act was.

“When they first announced Young MC was going to perform at halftime, I didn’t realize it was THE Young MC,” said Jenn Lindstrom of Champlin. “I got to sing and dance to ‘Bust a Move’ with my cousin and the little girl at the end was adorable!”

The Wolves fans seemed to agree as the gave Young MC and his crew a warm Twin Cities welcome.
