With the Jazz in town to face the Wolves at 2:30 p.m., Utah will be without center Mehmet Okur and forward Andrei Kirilenko, while the Wolves again go without Sebastian Telfair.
Okur did not make the trip to Minnesota due to a stomach virus, and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Jarron Collins, who started his eighth game of the season against the Clippers on Friday evening and scored seven points to couple seven rebounds. AK-47 is out with a muscle spasm in his right calf, and is expected to be replaced by C.J. Miles, who is averaging 4.4 points and 1.2 boards on the season in limited minutes (11.1).
Wolves Notes
- In his pregame address to local media, Wolves head coach Randy Wittman said that Sebastian Telfair may not play for the remainder of the season (10 games).
"We'll see if Sebastian even comes back, he said. "We only have two and a half weeks left."
- Wittman also mentioned that he's been impressed with how Al Jefferson has responded to a challenge to raise his defensive game. Big Al is averaging 3.33 blocks a game in the last six contests, including a career-high five erases against Houston on March 26: "He's made a conscious effort to be a better defender. That's all it is. Recognition and being alert weak side."
- Kirk Snyder is shooting 65.5 percent in his last four games, averaging 12.0 points, and has started the last 13 games, in which Minnesota is 6-7.
- Marko Jaric has 51 assists to just 11 turnovers in his last nine games (4.64-to-1), and is 29th in the NBA in steals (1.27).
