Wolves vs. Bucks 7 PM - Target Center
WHERE TO LISTEN: KFAN AM 1130

Scouting Report:
Big Picture:
Milwaukee is already dealing with an interesting set of circumstances to start the 2009-10 season. On the negative side, Michael Redd suffered another knee injury against the Pistons, sidelining the shooting guard for at least two weeks. Redd missed 35 games last year due to a torn ACL and MCL. While Redd nurses the strained patella tendon in his left knee, a new star has emerged for the 1-2 Bucks. Rookie point guard Brandon Jennings is off to a terrific first-year campaign by averaging 22 points per game. Milwaukee has yet to display a true identity after losing Richard Jefferson, Charlie Villanueva, and Ramon Sessions.

Backcourt:
The matchup of the night will take place at the point guard position. Jonny Flynn and Brandon Jennings meet for the third time, actually check that, the fourth time this year. The two rookie signal callers took part in the draft workouts here at the Target Center during the summer. Jennings leads all rookie scorers, ahead of Flynn by 12 points per game. Last year, Jennings skipped the college life to gain professional experience overseas and the Bucks are receiving the pay off. It should be noted that Jennings plays about nine more minutes a game than Flynn but he is quickly earning respect. Most fans are going to focus on the offensive side of the floor tonight. However, Flynn can elevate his rookie status with strong on-the-ball defense. At the shooting guard spot, head coach Scott Skiles has elected to start 6-3 guard Charlie Bell in place of Redd. Bell recorded his highest scoring output of the season with 11 points against Chicago on Tuesday. On the opposite side of the court, Corey Brewer owns a size advantage and might look to post up the smaller Bell. Brewer is an absolute necessity to the fast break offense for Minnesota with his ability to finish at the rim. The Wolves rely on Brewer's 2.6 steals per game to ignite the up-tempo offense.

Frontcourt:
After starting the first game of the season, forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute has been moved to the bench. Carlos Delfino offers a well-rounded offensive game but lacks size for the small forward position. Hakim Warrick suited up at power forward in place of veteran Kurt Thomas in the loss to Chicago earlier this week. The former Syracuse stand out is lengthy and full of potential. On Tuesday night Warrick recorded a double-double and scored a season-high 21 points against Detroit last week. The main concern for the Minnesota frontline is the Bucks big man in the paint. Andrew Bogut's numbers are not incredibly impressive this season by averaging 10 points and nine rebounds per game. At 7-feet tall, Bogut is a difficult defensive assignment for Al Jefferson due to his strength and skill-set. Expect Jefferson to step away from the basket where he can shoot the jumper or blow past Bogut with his speed. Bogut is also averaging just under five fouls a game this year.

What To Look For:
The Wolves need to display the same type of offensive execution as seen in the contest against the Celtics on Wednesday. If Minnesota plays with that tenacity, the team should leave the Target Center with its second victory of the season. At practice yesterday, Oleksiy Pecherov said the trust from the coaching staff allowed him to feel confident in the starting lineup. Pecherov certainly peaked the interest of the opposition after scoring a career-high 24 points against Boston. Another 20-point performance from Pecherov will go a long way in wining over the hometown crowd.
