Wolves Launch "Let’s Build It’ Campaign

The Minnesota Timberwolves today tipped off the team's "Let's Build It" Ticket Sales Campaign by announcing ticket prices for the upcoming 2008-09 NBA campaign. A total of 99.5% of all tickets within Target Center for Wolves games in 2008-09 will remain priced the same as this season. For a limited time (March 1 - April 16) fans will be able to purchase lower-level season tickets for as low as $25 per seat. Additionally, for the first time in team history, the Wolves are offering Half Season and 10-game ticket packages that are available for immediate purchase starting in March.

Building upon the success of last year's "Early Bird" ticket campaign with limited time reduced-priced lower-level season tickets, the Timberwolves will feature $25 and $40 per seat ticket packages in the lower bowl that are available March 1 through the end of the 2007-08 regular season (April 16). The $25 seats are regularly priced at $40 as a season ticket and the $40 seats are regularly priced at $50 as a season ticket. The Wolves are also introducing a new season ticket holder rewards program for those season ticket holders who renew their seats. The MVP Renewal Rewards Program allows season ticket holders to redeem points they have earned for unique one-of-a-kind Wolves items and experiences.

Along with season tickets, Wolves Half Season and 10-game ticket packages are now on sale. This is the first time in team history that these mini-plans are available at this time of year. Previously, fans had to wait until August to purchase these packages. Fans can choose between two different Half Season Ticket Packages that feature a mixture of 21 weekend and weekday games, and will include the Wolves' 2008-09 game against the Boston Celtics for free. Also, the team has introduced four different 10-Game Ticket Packages: the Big Game Pack, featuring 10 marquee matchups; Friday Night Lights Pack, featuring predominantly Friday night games; Weekend Pack, featuring predominantly Saturday and Sunday games; and Super Saver Pack, featuring games priced at 1/2 off. All 10-Game Packs include a free ticket to the 2008-09 Home Opener.

Also included in the "Let's Build It" campaign is an update to last season's "Blueprint for the Future" that detailed to fans the organization's plans, goals and strategies for moving forward. The "Let's Build It" campaign asks fans to join in the effort to rebuild the team by urging them to buy tickets and watch the team develop. The "Let's Build It" Ticket Sales Campaign will focus on both the renewal of current season tickets as well as new ticket sales. Current season ticket holders will receive "Let's Build It" renewal collateral beginning March 1. Elements of the campaign will be highlighted throughout Timberwolves television and radio broadcasts, in-arena elements, team publications and online at timberwolves.com.

"With our 'Let's Build It' Ticket Sales Campaign, the Timberwolves are continuing our commitment to meeting our fans' needs by providing affordable lower-level seats, adding new rewards and incentives for season ticket holders and providing a full menu of ticket packages for our fans," said Timberwolves president Chris Wright. "We are encouraging our fans to buy tickets and be with us as our young team continually improves and develops. As always, we remain committed to providing affordable ticket prices, great in-arena experiences and entertaining on-court basketball."

Details of the Timberwolves' 2008-09 ticket prices follow:

- The Timberwolves discounted season ticket prices for the 2008-09 campaign follow, with the single-game price in parentheses: $700 ($800), $650 ($750), $525 ($600), $400 ($450), $250 ($300), $220 ($260), $175 ($200), $90 ($125), $75 ($100), $50 ($70), $40 ($50), $20 ($35), $9 ($20) and $10.

- The tickets purchased as part of a full-season package will be discounted at least $10 per seat from the single-game price, with most season tickets discounted more than $20 per seat. The exception is the Timberwolves' $10 seats.

- 18,485 of 18,583 (99.5%) season tickets available inside Target Center will remain the same price from 2007-08 to 2008-09. These ticket numbers do not include the tickets available on the suite level.

- Affordability. Through the end of the regular season (April 16), there will be 1,765 tickets available in the lower level as season tickets at either $25 or $40 per seat.

- For the first time in franchise history, a full menu of ticket packages is available for purchase in March. Previously, Half Season and 10-Game Packs were not available to Wolves fans until August.

- Half Season Ticket Packages provide fans with a mix of 21 weekend and weekday games during the course of the 2008-09 season. In addition, all Half Season Packs include a free ticket to the 2008-09 game vs. the Boston Celtics.

- Fans will have the opportunity to choose from four distinct 10-Game Ticket Packages. The Big Game Pack, featuring 10 marquee matchups; Friday Night Lights Pack, featuring predominantly Friday night games; Weekend Pack, featuring predominantly Saturday and Sunday games; and Super Saver Pack, featuring games priced at 1/2 off. All 10-Game Packs include a free ticket to the 2008-09 Home Opener.

- New MVP Renewal Rewards Program allows Wolves season ticket holders to earn points based on their tickets, their seats, and their tenure with the team. These points can be redeemed for unique items and experiences such as a Meet The Team Dinner, a bus trip to training camp, an Al Jefferson bobblehead, etc.

- All persons purchasing courtside tickets (Rows A-D) will receive a membership into the Lexus Courtside Club - an exclusive experience for courtside ticket holders. Benefits of the Lexus Courtside Club include: valet parking, private personal locker, complimentary buffet dinner and drinks pregame in the Lexus Lounge, a members-only area within NBA City Restaurant.

- Affordability Part 2. A full-season ticket package can be purchased for as low as $387. That is only $9 per game for an upper-level season ticket. Nearly 7,000 tickets available on a season-ticket basis in the upper level are priced at $10 per game or less.

- The Timberwolves $10 single-game ticket price remains one of the lowest priced tickets among major league winter professional sports.

- Various options will again be made available on a game-by-game basis through group sales and promotions at lower package prices such as the "Hungry Like a Wolf" and "Meal Deal" programs.

- The Timberwolves will play two preseason games plus 41 regular-season contests at Target Center.
