Wolves - Bobcats: By the Numbers

By: Contributing Writer Matt Tiano

The Wolves are in Charlotte aiming for win number 20 and a season split against the Bobcats. Tip is set for 6 p.m. Central and can be viewed on KSTC-45.

The Bobcats snapped a nine-game road losing streak with a 109-89 victory March 4 at Target Center behind 25 points from Jason Richardson and 19 points and 11 rebounds from Emeka Okafor.

We took a look at a few numbers to prepare you for the inter-conference matchup:

76
Assists for Marco Jaric over the course of his last 14. More impressively, Jaric has coughed up only 15 turnovers in those games, good for a 5.1-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

36.6
Randy Foye’s shooting percentage in his last 11 road games (48-for-131) compared to 48.2 percent (54-for-112) in his last ten at Target Center.

23.3
Jason Richardson’s scoring average on .536 (37-for-69) shooting over the course of Charlotte’s last four games. Richardson scored 31 against the Cavs on April 2, tallying his 14th game this season scoring 30 or more points. Maybe Richardson has something to do with the Bobcats setting a franchise record for wins in a single month (seven in March).

20
Final margin in the March 4 outing (in the Bobcats’ favor), the largest final margin in seven all-time games between the teams. The Bobcats hold a 4-3 all-time series lead, and are 2-1 at home.

12.1
Average turnovers for the Wolves in their last 16, including a season-low six giveaways April 4 against Phoenix.

11.8
Average points for Corey Brewer in his six most recent starts. Brewer also has averaged 4.7 rebounds and 2.33 steals over that stretch.

7
Wins this season (two losses) for Charlotte against the Pacific Northwest. The Bobcats have defeated every team in the division (Portland, Seattle, Minnesota, Utah and Denver).

3.29
Blocks per game in Al Jefferson’s final seven March starts. In April’s first four games, Jefferson has totaled one swat.

3
Straight meetings between the Wolves and Bobcats in which the visiting team has won. Minnesota picked up its first-ever victory at Charlotte Bobcats Arena last Near Year’s Day.
