Wolves Shoot for Three Straight

The Wolves look to make it three in a row for the first time this season as they return to face Portland at 7 p.m. at Target Center on Tuesday.

Minnesota shot 50 percent over the course of a two-game West Coast stint against the Clippers and Kings en route to its first back-to-back road wins of the season.

“Last night in Sacramento obviously was a big one for us," coach Randy Wittman said after Saturday’s win over Portland. "(Beating the Clippers) gives us two in a row, which we have not done all year. It is little goals that we are setting for ourselves.”

Minnesota got a career-high tying 26-point effort from Randy Foye, and Al Jefferson did his usual damage with an average of 25.5 points and 12.5 rebounds over the course of both contests.

“I think defense is the main key, having a lot of energy, moving the ball, getting great shots,” Jefferson said. “Things are working out for us.”

We took a look at the weekend’s success as the Wolves prepare to take on a Portland team who is now 6.5 games out of the Western Conference playoff hunt.
