Wolves Season Ticket Members "Get Closer" To The Action
Wolves forward Kevin Love signs autographs during the kickoff event for this year's sales "Get Closer" campaign.
After last season’s extremely successful “Everyone’s Talking About the Wolves” campaign in which the team sold more than 2,000 full season ticket memberships for the third consecutive season, the “Get Closer” ticket membership campaign highlights the unparalleled access afforded only to Wolves season ticket members.
The “Get Closer” campaign will initially hit the Twin Cities market through a television campaign featuring Wolves players in casual conversation with actual Wolves season ticket members. The ads demonstrate the ability of season ticket members to “Get Closer” to Wolves players, and the connection between the team’s players and its members. The first television spot, featuring Wolves guard Ricky Rubio, debuts Monday during the Wolves-Heat telecast. Other players in the television campaign include: Andrei Kirilenko, Nikola Pekovic and Greg Stiemsma, and more ads will debut later this month.
Through the newly launched season ticket membership levels, fans have the opportunity to receive exclusive benefits, perks and programs that allow them to “Get Closer.” These new membership levels (President’s Club, Diamond, Sapphire, Platinum, Gold), which are based on season ticket levels, are only available to members of the Minnesota Timberwolves Basketball Club. The Timberwolves recognize that membership means more than attending 43 games a season at Target Center. Wolves season ticket memberships provide access and benefits throughout the entire calendar year. Some of the newly enhanced benefits and experiences that allow Wolves fans to get closer to the team include: Meet the Team Tip Off Dinner; Coaches Chalk Talk; Wolves Open Practice; Wolves Viewing Party; Wolves Summer Boat Cruise; Kids Basketball Clinic; Road trip with the team; Exclusive dinner with team owner Glen Taylor.
Some of the membership benefits for all levels include: dedicated fan experience specialist; early arena entrance before the public; dedicated concession lines at games; significant savings over single-game prices; discounted parking; 20% discount at Wolves Pro Shop; My Timberwolves account to manage and resell your tickets.
Timberwolves season ticket member pricing still remains one of the best and most affordable values in all of professional sports, with memberships starting as low as $172. There will continue to be more than 1,000 lower-level season tickets priced as low as $20 per game, the most affordable lower-level season ticket in the NBA. Additionally, 6,700 tickets in the upper-level are priced at $7 or less per game, including 2,000 upper-level tickets priced at only $4 per game. These prices are all guaranteed through the end of the regular season (April 17). After April 17, season ticket memberships will increase.
Additionally, the 10% Playoff Refund that was available to all season ticket members that renewed their seats is also available to all new 2013-14 memberships through the end of the regular season. The team’s pledge to season ticket members is simple: If the Wolves do not make the playoffs this spring, season ticket members will receive a 10% refund off their season membership price.
Season ticket memberships include all 41 regular-season games plus two preseason contests at Target Center. The Timberwolves will once again offer monthly payment options for season ticket memberships, allowing fans to divide the cost of their membership into 12 monthly installments.
The “Get Closer” campaign's ad buys include: television, radio, digital outdoor, skyway signage, light rail transit stop, online and newspaper. Additionally, the campaign will be highlighted throughout Timberwolves television and radio broadcasts as well as on timberwolves.com.
