Training Camp Day 10
The Timberwolves finished Tuesday's practice with plans to mix up its starting lineup for Wednesday's preseason finale against the Milwaukee Bucks. Specifically, guards JJ Barea and Ricky Rubio might not play while nursing a thigh bruise and a sprained ankle, respectively.
In their absence, rookie Malcolm Lee could see additional time in the back court against the Bucks.
"I think it's just day-to-day," Adelman said about Rubio and Barea. "They want to be precautionary right now so they can get treatment, get healthy and practice by the end of the week."
Adelman also talked about center Brad Miller's role on the team as well as how veteran Bonzi Wells can contribute.
Following Tuesday's workout, which took place on Target Center's floor, assistant coach Terry Porter talked about how important repetition will be in helping this young Timberwolves squad grow throughout the season.
"Consistency, I don't think you can teach that," Porter said. "Consistency comes, just like anything...the more you get the repetitions up and get more comfortable with what you're trying to get accomplish, that builds in individuals and in teams."
Wednesday's game in Milwaukee begins at 7 p.m. Minnesota will open up the regular season on Monday at home against Oklahoma City.
