The Minnesota Timberwolves open their 2007 Training Camp on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the team's practice facility inside Target Center. Media availability for Saturday's practice will begin at 12:15 p.m. The Wolves will spend the next portion of their 2007-08 preseason overseas with stops in Istanbul, Turkey and London, England. The Timberwolves are participating in the 2007 NBA Europe Live presented by EA Sports along with the Boston Celtics, Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors.

On Sunday, Sept. 30, the Timberwolves will resume training camp in Istanbul, Turkey with practice sessions running from Sept. 30 - Oct. 5. In the team's first exhibition game, Minnesota plays Efes Pilsen in Istanbul on Oct. 6 at Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall, marking the first time in NBA history that an NBA game will be played in Turkey. Following the exhibition contest in Turkey, the club will fly to London where training camp will continue from Oct. 7-9 before the Wolves take on the Boston Celtics on Oct. 10 in the first game at the O2, London's new state of the art arena.

Prior to the start of training camp, Minnesota will host its 2007 Media Day on Friday, Sept. 28. Media Day will be at the team's practice facility from 2-4 p.m.

Istanbul's Efes Pilsen team has won 12 Turkish League Titles, including four consecutive between 2002-2005 and are seven-time Turkish National Cup winners. Often called the "Pride of Turkey" after having won Turkey's first European title in a team sport (Korac Cup in 1996), and they are six-time Turkish President Cup winners.

The inaugural NBA Europe Live drew more than 36 million viewers, 115,000 spectators and 18 marketing partners in October 2006. Additionally, as part of NBA Cares, the NBA and the Wolves will conduct a court refurbishment ceremony and community enhancement activities while in Europe; including court refurbishment ceremonies, basketball clinics, the opening of a Learn and Play center and an event for the Starkey Hearing Foundation among other initiatives.
