U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan Day 1

The 2006 U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan got off to a roaring start in the morning. After traveling from Target Center, Wolves players Ricky Davis and Mark Madsen, along with assistant coach Rex Kalamian and broadcaster Tom Hanneman took part in a golf outing at Mankato Golf Club.

While Hanneman’s foursome shot the best score, Davis was the most impressive with the sticks, easily hitting the longest drive of the day. Davis averted disaster early when an errant shot whizzed six inches from him, but was unfazed by the potential danger.

After the golfing wrapped up the Caravan traveled to the Mankato YMCA, where Kalamian led a clinic for over a hundred kids. Kalamian, along with Davis and Madsen, instructed the kids about the fundamentals of defensive footwork and dribbling.

Wolves owner Glen Taylor also made an appearance at the clinic, where he greeted the players and fans.

Finally, Crunch and Air Crunch were on hand to keep the excitement going for the children in attendance.

Once the clinic wrapped up the U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan took off on a four-hour journey to Alexandria, where Tuesday’s activities will take place.
