U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan Day 2

Day two of the 2006 U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan began at Geneva Golf Club in Alexandria. Once again Ricky Davis, Mark Madsen, Rex Kalamian and Tom Hanneman were paired with other golfers for a scramble.

Kalamian and his foursome started off hot, and produced an easy win, while Davis was unable to match his stellar form from Monday, and his team struggled to a last place finish.

While at Geneva Golf Club, the Caravan crossed paths with a group from the Special Olympics. Crunch took a break from swinging the sticks to sign autographs for the group from the Special Olympics.

After that it was off for a basketball clinic, held at the Alexandria Middle School. Madsen and Kalamian ran the participants through dribbling, shooting, and defensive drills.

Once again, Madsen set up a game of knockout, matching up the participants against Davis. Madsen had done this during Monday’s clinic and Davis was knocked out on his first shot.

Davis made up for his defeat by winning Tuesday’s game of knockout. Davis followed that up by proving his excellence at the free-throw line and hitting two free throws while the whole crowd taunted him.

After the clinic, the U.S. Bank/Timberwolves Caravan traveled to Brainerd for the night. One lucky fan shook with excitement in the hotel lobby when he realized he had stumbled upon Madsen and Davis.
