Timberwolves, Treasure Island Resort & Casino Launch VIP Terrace

The Minnesota Timberwolves and Treasure Island Resort & Casino today announced an agreement on a multi-year partnership - a deal which includes assets and execution for the Timberwolves, Lynx, and year-round branding in and around Target Center. The agreement is highlighted by the expansion and redesign of the Timberwolves premium venue formerly known as Club Cambria, now dubbed the Treasure Island Resort & Casino VIP Terrace.

The expanded luxury seating area combines a cool and hip atmosphere with exciting upgrades and features to provide ticket members the ultimate VIP experience. The Terrace will serve as a hybrid between a suite and an arena ticket, perfect for companies or individuals who want to entertain at a very high level while sticking to their budget. The seats in the Terrace are sold as a season ticket, but come with all of the benefits and amenities high level guests on the suite level enjoy every night. The seats in the newly expanded club space are available right now for a per-game, per-seat price of $108, or $4,644 for the entire season, which is inclusive of parking, dinner, beverages and also a LifeTime Fitness membership for each seat purchased.

The relaunch of this space will include an additional six suites which are under construction to create more seating, raising capacity up to 208 seats, and a larger mingling area for guests for the 2012-13 Wolves season. The renovations are expected to be completed by October 13, 2012, in time for the beginning of the 2012-13 regular season.

"We are thrilled to have teamed up with our friends at the Treasure Island Resort & Casino on the redesign and expansion of our suite area, now called the Treasure Island Resort & Casino VIP Terrace, as well as on various community platforms, including our brand new Basketbowl event," said Timberwolves president Chris Wright. "The Timberwolves have developed a phenomenal relationship with Treasure Island through the years and it is a relationship that has continually grown and evolved. Together we believe our expanded luxury seating area will offer an exclusive, unparalleled VIP experience for our ticket members. We look forward to collaborating with Treasure Island for years to come on these and many more exciting initiatives."

The fully integrated partnership also includes additional interactive fan engagement promotions as well as a comprehensive community "fit" program, developed to allow Treasure Island Resort & Casino to give back to the community. Additionally, Treasure Island Resort & Casino will host the entire Timberwolves team at the inaugural Basketbowl event, with proceeds going to support the Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation. Details for the Basketbowl event and fit program will be announced at a later date.

“The Prairie Island Indian Community has partnered with the Timberwolves since 1999,” said Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Council President Johnny Johnson. “We are excited to have a more prominent presence at Target Center with the Treasure Island Resort & Casino VIP Terrace. Another important aspect is being more involved in the Timberwolves community impact efforts, which closely aligns with the Prairie Island Indian Community’s long history of supporting youth activities, fitness and leadership development.”
