Timberwolves & FOX Sports North Team Up to Hold Broadcast Auction on Jan. 27

The Minnesota Timberwolves and FOX Sports North are partnering to hold a broadcast auction to benefit the Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation on Monday, Jan. 27. Fans have the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind Wolves experiences starting at 9 a.m. on Monday until the end of the Wolves vs. Bulls telecast on FOX Sports North that evening.

Bids can be placed by calling 612-673-1275. Early bidding runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Television coverage begins at 6:30 p.m., with phone lines opening again when the Wolves tip off at 7 p.m. Bid updates will be available on timberwolves.com/auction and throughout the FOX Sports North broadcast of the Wolves game.

Items up for bid include:

  • Kids Birthday Package – Birthday party for up to 10 kids hosted by mascot Crunch at Mall of America’s Sky Deck. Package includes food, beverage, bowling and $400 in Sky Deck Game Cards. Winning bidder also receives opportunity for their child to have a picture taken with their favorite Wolves player after a practice. Starting bid: $500

  • NBA Summer League Trip to Las Vegas – Trip for two, includes airfare, 4 days/3 nights lodging on the Vegas Strip and tickets to all Wolves Summer League games. Starting bid: $500

  • Ultimate Fan Package – Suite for up to 20 attendees at the Saturday, Feb. 8 Wolves game vs. Portland, courtside seating with FOX Sports North announcers for pre-game shoot around, in-game suite visit from President of Basketball Operations Flip Saunders, General Manager Milt Newton, Crunch and the Timberwolves Dancers, and a postgame meet-and-greet on court with Timberwolves players and coaches. Includes a $500 food and beverage credit. Starting bid: $1,000

  • Collectively the auction items are valued at more than $8,000. Bids are accepted in $50 increments.

    The Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation provides and supports hands-on programs that positively impact Minnesota youth. Through giving, education and basketball opportunities, the Foundation enables young people to make responsible decisions, contribute to their futures, and experience lifelong memories. In the past year, the Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation and the Minnesota Lynx Foundation have combined to impact 2,146 organizations with $842,790 in in-kind donations, 20,000 Tickets for Kids donations, 3,107 volunteer hours, 53 community members honored on-court, and 15 grants distributed.
