Minnesota Timberwolves Vice President of Basketball Operations today announced the team has traded forward Nikoloz Tskitishvili to the Phoenix Suns for a second-round pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

Tskitishvili, signed as a free agent by Minnesota on Aug. 9, 2005, appeared in five games for the Timberwolves this season. He scored three points in 13 minutes of action. Originally drafted fifth overall by the Denver Nuggets in 2002, Tskitishvili has averaged 3.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 160 NBA games (16 starts) in his four-year career.

The trade is predicated on Tskitishvili passing a physical examination.
