BREWER'S BIO
Corey Brewer was Minnesota's first-round draft pick in 2007 (No. 7 overall) after leading the University of Florida to two consecutive National Championships. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2007 Final Four, and after the draft averaged an impressive 11.0 ppg, 9.6 rpg and 3.0 apg in 30.8 mpg at the Las Vegas Summer League.

Brewer became Florida's all-time leading scorer in the NCAA Tournament with 198 points, and averaged 13.2 pts, 4.7 rpg and 2.9 asp as a junior. He also recorded the only triple-double in Florida history with 15 points, 10 boards and a career-high 13 assists vs. Jacksonville.

Brewer is interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting when his playing career is over, enjoys speaking to and working with kids, and likes beating fellow Florida Gator and current Wolf teammate Chris Richard in NCAA College Football for PS2.

COACH J.B. BICKERSTAFF SAYS...
"Corey can do everything, and I think that's his strength and what he brings to this team. You don't have to call a play for him, and he doesn't have to score a basket to have an impact on the game. He can score if need be, but he does the little things: plays defense, runs the floor, gets stops, gets his hands on basketball. He's the glue guy that every good team needs to have."

TIMBERWOLVES.COM SAYS...
That Brewer has all the tools is very clear after watching him throughout the summer and in preseason action. At the same time, he simply needs time on the court to fully acclimate his game - and his J - to the NBA level. By the way, who better to work with than Fred Hoiberg, Minnesota's assistant GM and one of the best pure shooters in league history? Furthermore, the best news about Brewer is that while he's developing, he can help the Wolves in many ways thanks to his defense, ability in transition and attitude.

BREWER'S FIVE FACTS
1) The lanky guard/forward was second among all rookies at the Las Vegas Summer League with 9.6 rebounds per game (Glen Davis - 9.8).
2) Brewer says that he often gets lost in Minneapolis despite having GPS in his ride.
3) Brewer wanted to wear the #2 jersey as a wolf, but the number was retired to deceased shooting guard Malik Sealy. He instead chose #22.
4) He scored a game-high 19 points, including five three-pointers and caused havoc for the Bruins on the defense end in Florida's 76-66 victory over UCLA in last year's NCAA Championship game.
5) Brewer keeps in close contact with former college teammates Al Horford (Hawks), Joakim Noah (Bulls) and Taurean Greene (Blazers).
