Scouting Report:

Big Picture
After an All-Star weekend of the flashing lights in showtime Los Angeles, the regular season moves on for the Timberwolves and Bucks, starting with a midwest matchup at the Bradley Center.

Despite losing eight of their last 10 before the All-Star break, the Milwaukee Bucks have stayed within Eastern Conference playoff contention behind the backcourt play of Brandon Jennings and John Salmons.

The Bucks have a balanced roster, loaded with players who can contribute on any given night. While Jennings and Salmons lead the team in scoring, opponents cannot forget about the physical guard play of Corey Maggette or the sharp-shooting Carlos Defino who is capable of drilling multiple treys from beyond the arc.

Milwaukee sits in 10th place of the Eastern standings with an overall record of 21-34.

Last Time Out
Despite 33 points from John Salmons, Milwaukee suffered a 94-87 home loss to Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets.

The Wolves couldn’t find their stroke against Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers, falling 98-90 at Target Center.

The Numbers Game
Milwaukee is the worst-shooting (42.3 percent) and lowest-scoring (91.3 points per game) team in the NBA. The Bucks are averaging 89.6 points in their last seven games.

Key Players to Watch
Kevin Love vs. Andrew Bogut
The paint could become a battle zone tonight for the two relentless rebounders of Kevin Love and Andrew Bogut. Love, who averages 15.5 boards per game will receive some serious competition on the glass from Milwaukee’s big man. Bogut hauls in 11.5 rebounds per game, including a season-high 20 boards last Wednesday.

What to Look For
After a long, but glamorous All-Star weekend for Kevin Love, the forward will look to extend his astonishing double-double streak to 43 straight games.

With Michael Beasley eyeing a return tonight, look for Minnesota’s offense to flourish as they welcome back a pivotal scoring threat that has been missed drastically. Beasley averages 19.9 points and 5.6 rebounds this season.
