Rubio Buys 500 Tickets For Tuesday's Lynx Game

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ricky Rubio has teamed up with the Lynx as they face off with the Seattle Storm in this upcoming Tuesday's deciding Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals. In support of the Lynx, Rubio has purchased 500 upper level tickets for Tuesday, and he’s offering them to fans to free. Beginning Monday at 8 a.m., the first 250 fans that call in to 612-673-8400 will have the opportunity to sit in Rubio's seats; limit two per customer.

“I’m incredibly proud to support the Lynx,” said Rubio, who attended Game 1 at Target Center on Friday night. “I know firsthand the impact that fans can have on a game, especially in the deciding games of series. It’s very important for fans to show up and create a homecourt advantage for the team as they attempt to repeat as champions.”

The Lynx finished the regular season a WNBA-best 27-7 for the second consecutive year, earning the first overall seed in the WNBA and homecourt advantage throughout the 2012 WNBA Playoffs, presented by Boost Mobile. After winning Game 1 at Target Center on Friday night, Minnesota dropped a 2OT thriller with the Storm in Seattle on Sunday evening to even the series. The deciding Game 3 is on Tuesday, October 2 at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN2.

Single-game tickets for the Western Conference Semifinals range from $15 ($10 for season ticket holders and $12 for groups of 10 or more) to $190 ($165 for season ticket holders).
