2) Nov. 10, 2013: Wolves 113, Lakers 90

The story line in this game began with the past poor performances by the Wolves against the Lakers. Traditionally the Wolves have struggled against L.A., and coming into the game, Minnesota had lost 22 straight to them. The Wolves were desperately hoping to end the streak, especially with Kobe Bryant out for the Lakers, but they knew it wouldn’t be easy going into the always hostile Staples Center and coming out with a win. Rubio played an inspired game, finishing with a triple-double, 12 points (7-of-11 FGs and 2-of-2 3pt. FGs), 10 boards and 14 assists, one of two triple-doubles he had in the season and one of three in his career. He also had five steals during his 38 minutes on the floor, making an impact both offensively and defensively for the Wolves.
