"How did the game slip away at the end? They made some plays; they made some big shots; they made some threes. We had a couple costly turnovers down the stretch."

"It's how they play. They spread you out. They've got a lot of three-point shooters and they spread you out, and they're difficult to defend in that situation. When you control the tempo as we did, you're okay. But when you let things go the other way, and you don't take advantage of some things inside, then it hurts you a little bit."


"I know what it's like when you get into a nice shooting rhythm, and you know how dangerous that can be. When we didn't get the loose ball and we left somebody open, they made us pay for it. With Jacque Vaughan hitting threes and Shawn Kemp hitting baby jumpers, we missed a rebound and they got it and Mac hit the big three. Stuff like that adds up."

We thought if we could sit and stay in the zone, and save our legs, we would have a better chance to compete in the second half."

"I think the biggest thing that happened by not having Drew was on the offensive end. That allowed them to put Garnett on Tracy McGrady. If Drew Gooden is in the game, then Garnett has to guard Drew Gooden and Wally Szczerbiak or someone else has to guard Tracy McGrady."
