Minnesota went 2-2 against the Lakers this season, the second straight year they've earned a split ... Prior to their 120-102 victory on 1/11/02, the Wolves had beaten Los Angeles just three times in the previous six years ... A standing-room-only 20,199 were on hand for the March 14 meeting, the third-largest Target Center crowd in franchise history ... The 16-point win on Dec. 17 was Minnesota's second-biggest ever in the series, while the Lakers' 80 points is the second-fewest they've scored vs. the Wolves ... The 110-107 decision on Dec. 1 at Staples Center halted Minnesota's 16-game road losing streak in the series ... It was their first victory in Los Angeles since a 101-93 triumph on 12/5/93 at the Great Western Forum ... Minnesota hosted Los Angeles in its first-ever preseason game, on 10/18/89 ... The Wolves and Lakers played before a regular-season crowd of 43,606 on 3/17/90 at the Metrodome during Minnesota's inaugural season.
