The Timberwolves fans, players and community members celebrated Native American Heritage Night throughout Wednesday evening’s home game versus the visiting Indiana Pacers.

As the fans made their way to Target Center they were greeted in the skyway with a performance by the Upper Sioux Community Drummers.

During the halftime portion of the evening, the Prairie Island Indian Community Drummers and Dancers shared their culture and tradition by demonstrating a powwow.

The powwow, a cultural celebration where generations gather to socialize, dance, sing, visit and renew friendships, was held at center court.

As the performance came to an end, the crowd cheered and thanked the dancers and drummers for bringing their traditional dance to Target Center.
