Game Night Spotlight: Wolves Honor Minnesota High School Basketball Champions

The Timberwolves welcomed very special guests onto their court during Tuesday night’s home game against the San Antonio Spurs.


The boys and girls high school basketball state champions were honored in front of the Target Center crowd as their banners were hung throughout the arena.

 

From Boys Class A were the Belgrade Brooten-Elrosa Jaguars, who finished with a 32-1 record. From Class AA were the Esko Eskomos, who beat Annandale in the championship game. From the Class AAA were the DeLaSalle Islanders, who went 28-3. From the Class AAA were the Lakeville North Panthers, who went 28-5 and beat Hopkins in the championships.

For the girls, the Win-E-Mac Patriots were honored from Class A. Win-E-Mac beat Minneota in the championship game. For Class AA were the New Richland Panthers, who were 35-1 overall. From Class AAA were the Park Center Pirates, who defeated Marshall in the final round. From Class AAA were the Eastview Lightning, who were 34-2 overall.

 

Each team made their way to center court to receive a warm welcome and round of applause for their efforts.
