Four LifeTime Fitness members joined the halftime festivities at Target Center during Tuesday night’s Timberwolves home game versus the Milwaukee Bucks.

Throughout the season, LifeTime Fitness has run a series of Ultimate Hoops Shootout competitions where the winners in each competition have advanced to the Ultimate Hoops Championship, which is scheduled for the end of March.

Four more competitors took on the challenge Tuesday evening. Each person is given 45 seconds to make as many 3-pointers as possible.

First up was Dustin who stepped up to the three-point line and struggled making shots initially. He stunned the crowd by swishing his final two shots and putting up a total of five 3-pointers.

The second contestant Brandon followed in Dustin’s footsteps, struggling early and also sinking two shots in the final few seconds.

The 3rd and 4th competitors showed up to the contest in style. The 4th contestant Gene was sporting the neon green socks for luck. However, neither could match up and Gene finished with no completed 3-pointers.

When it came down to the tie-breaker, Dustin and Brandon were told to pick up the basketball and make a lay-up. For the first to successfully do so would move on to the next round. Both originally missed the layup, but Dustin eventually picked up his rebound and made it in… thus advancing him to the finals.
