Two young fans thought they had what it took to step inside a huge, human-sized hamster ball during Wednesday night’s Timberwolves loss to the Warriors at Target Center.

The race consisted of two fierce competitors stepping inside one green-striped and one blue-striped plastic ball. Upon the blowing of referee B-Wright’s whistle, the battle was on. The goal was simple… race the length of the court and round an orange cone twice.

The fans were about even until they reached the orange cone. After bouncing off one another and fighting for position, the blue ball took the lead. It was a no contest from there, as the fan in the blue hamster ball passed the line first.

The winning fan, dressed in University of Minnesota gear, was awarded a Wolves prize pack and sense of personal pride.
